I have a lot of so called projects that I do in my free time but all of the big ones are unfinished. These 'projects' are of various nature, some are photography, writing and others are designing things.
Then recently it occured to me that I have a kind of impulsion, that when I used anything, I want to produce it.On the contrary, some people can use something for a whole longgggg time and be happy, just using it. Just consuming it. Such as for example, watching a comedy or drama series for many seasons, and end up only watching it. Only consuming it.
Don't you want to make your own drama, maybe?
Alright, making a drama might seems daunting, but maybe after reading a book/blog, don't you want to write yourself? How about using a phone app/game, to make your own game? Maybe after looking at other people's picture, take your own beautiful scenery shot? And for men, after watching those football games, kick a few balls around? The list is endless. At least, maybe the curiosity to try and make your favaourite food at the mamak stall.
I understand that you can't be interested in everything. I use a laptop to type this but I don't dream in my free time to build a laptop from scratch. Some other people might, though.
But what puzzles me is how some people are not interested at all, to other than be a consumer. And it's sadder when these are people I know. hmm..
Of course, too much project like me, is not actually a good thing. One should try to balance one's interest, right?
What do you think? Are we only consumers, or producers?
Thanks for reading
Malaysians are like that, no? When one goreng pisang stall stand, a lot of others pop up in the same area. Same goes to online shops and video parodies.
ReplyDeletetak pernah perasan plak kedai cucur pisang camtu, lol.
