A reminder to self and others:

There is a condescending connotation when a person begins to talk about religion.

"Wardina ni dah jadi ustazah? Jadi ustazah lak dah," the words were said much less so. I was dissappointed to hear that.

I used to think humans were good and bad but needless to say that is a simpleton view of the world. And by labelling someone who preaches towards betterment as an ustaz/ah, is misleading. It is as if anyone that reminds another to do good, is a saint. In Islam, no one is too good that he is not open to criticsm and no one is so foul that any words that they say have no value. By labelling people like wardina, the person seems to me to distance itself by stating, 'she is an ustazah' and himself not, so that he doesn't have the obligation to remind people to do good.

So sad.
Analogy wise, you don't need to be the police to stop a thief, and when you stop one, you are not automatically a police.
You are a responsible citizen.


So be a responsible muslim and try to spread words of wisdom and not only share funny videos.
