Are u an iFag?

A friend of mine, Wannoi, had a near close experience with his 5 years old laptop. 5 years old. Hence I thought, and voice it out that he should buy a new one which is a reasonable thing to do considering his laptop has served for more that the expected life time. So voices were heard telling him to buy a Mac, since it's expensive. Yeah that's what friends do, convince the hell out of them to buy an expensive thing at their own expense.

Then one day asked Jera, who is a macbook user, "Jadi jera, apa hang rasa lepas hang guna macbook."
I could lie all the way here and say her eyes was oggly and her mouth open in excitement but truth be told she highlighted the small things that she liked. In a sense apple's stuff are quite easy and user-friendly but the regular question that haunts is whether it is worth the price.

"Jadi hang sekarang ni iFag a?" Wannoi asked something like that. Jera terdiam. After I laughed at her, she said, "Hang pon guna barang apple gak. Hang lagi iFag!" to which everyone laughed too. Personally I think iPhone 4 is a tad expensive and for the same price you can get another two smartphones. I am not saying I regretted buying it but I personally feel the phone doesn't really live to hype. Apple's hype and the consumer's, as I saw one friend posted on facebook, "as the best phone...when you are used to the best..yada yada". Really, best phone ever? I hardly think it's true but I do agree if it is rephrased into "it suits some people best."

I have almost forgotten all these if it were not for this blog, from an Apple store worker who is, mildly put, unsatisfied with his working condition. Note: Strong words are used in the blog.
To give some slack, I am sure other's company also have the same problem and mistreatment in some sense, but hey! That just proves that Apple is not that revolutionary after all.

  1. a mac able to triple boot windows osx and ubuntu... a non mac is where you must get your hand way dirty to hackintosh a windows machine to put osx along with windows and ubuntu and live to tell the tale...

anyway, just get something with a long warranty (3years) if you are worried about the price tag :p

  5. haha.. actually virtualized OS (VMware/Virtualbox) bley guna osx+windows+ubuntu at the same time tp tu la, possible on macs je. so power user mmg handy le pakai macs. hahaha, sorry, terlalu techy ke punya comment? ahah, slalu jd silent reader je.. lagipon just nk point out bigger things than "she highlighted the small things that she liked" punya lines. BTW aku ada 1 unit used Macbook Aluminium 13" untuk dijual, QWERTZ layout keyboard (german punya)RM2200 fixed with new battery. Owner nk tukar pakai MacMini. iPhone memang legend la, tp dgn jailbreak with Cydia apps and craked Appstore. Games mmg imba punya lah. wahaha...

the most crap laptops are expensive Sony & Toshiba. Dell were reported to ship poor motherbord chips. aku pakai cheap Asus je, tp body asyik break je, keyboard dah rosak, touchpad dah broke, haiya!

    IMHO anyway... :p
