It's spelled like Paris,only with an 'F'

A short cap over my visit last break

1st destination: Brussels (Capital of Belgium)

Belgium..hmm.Belgium.Ever heard of it?
The only thing I know bout it beforehand was that Pierrot, character manifested by Agatha Christie in her books, came from Belgium.
Anyway,we spent around 6 hours in Brussels, which we did cover the main part of the city.Belgium itself is small,so is its capital,Brussels.
Lebih kurg besar Perak+Kedah+Penang=(Belgium)

We went to the Mannikin Pis,a fountain depicting a boy pissing. -.-
The relevance behind it,said Am,was that they found a boy pissing blissfully after the war, that it somehow symbolises hope...I think
And we went to eat at the Waffle factory.
serius best.terbeek!haha
But seriously the waffle was (for lack of other adjectives) delicious. Was on a bit of sugar rush after eating it though.

Interessantes:
The Belgiums practices two languages,Dutch and French.Three if you count English.
If you go to the train stations and shops, there are normally two menus displayed side by side,French and Dutch..Which is very confusing since Dutch seems already a composition of language to me.
Oh well.It doesn't matter much,as one of the shops clearly said on its menu:Babi goreng.

Verdict:
Belgium didn't caught my fancy and hard to imagine going there again, except booking a €19 Angebot(Nacht) from Köln to Brussels, waking up and spending a day in Mini-europe before going back to Germany.

2nd stop: Paris

Ah Paris.Does it need an intoduction?
Anyway the places covered were Eiffel,Musee Louvre,Champs Elysee, Notre Damé,Arc de Triumph and the hundred kilometres of Metro(subways).Yes Paris is big.And the Metros are longer than London in my opinion.

Verdict:
Notice I didn't describe much bout Paris. It's because I am definitely going there, again. My suggestion for anyone having the same thought is to go there for a few days and allocate the middle day(3rd day maybe) of the travel to rest.

Last stop:Amsterdam

It's the capital of Holland(also known as Netherland)
Dari sini lah datangnya Syarikat Hindia Timur Inggeris,SHTI.The famous line of clothing inspired their name from this too, I think.FCUK.
Anyway Netherland was one of the country that colonised Malaysia and also Indonesia.Their legacy in Indonesia is more significant and traces of it can be seen there, such as the language.I read a blog of a student in Medan,in which the people there say Rok,which means skirt in Dutch.
And the effect can also be seen vice versa, like the usage of satay babi.(Sorry!I remember only a few example..ok fine.only one example)

The places:

The city center, which consist of the street where Amsterdam mostly known for;the Red Light District. The oldest profession in the world(so they claim) are widely practiced in the District. That's all. Aside from that, the other shops selling sex-items can easily be found in other city in Europe.

Then we went to the Keukenhof!
13 Millions of Tulips if I am not mistaken. I myself don't have a strong interest in flowers but anyone who went there will find it very, extremely, amazingly, truly beautiful..
over la plak.tp cantiiikk.
The only thing was you can only see them.No plucking of course, but they didn't even sell them at Keukenhof, excepts bulbs. We don't want to grow them,we just want to buy them. The point is they should have sold some flowers there because people who leave there is in a state of euphoria of the beautiful flowers and what-not,they would buy any flowers that they see.
Percaturan yg kurg bijak d situ,Keukenhof.

Then there was the windmill,Zanse schanz.(I don't know how to pronounce it either)
There were shops to see,how the wooden shoes are made and also the process of making cheese. And there was the windmill and the landscape.
You could just lay around and the face in your wind.

Interessantes:
The Dutch seems to be proud of their 'openness'.Overly proud in my opinion. It's like the city is trying to impress upon you that hippie like state.Ironically Amsterdam is among the city with the lowest rate of crime.
For that matter, the city really have a weird effect on the people because we did act a bit out of the norm,to say it mildly. We didn't smoke any weed but the trip members conclusively decided that passive smoking was the culprit. The city itself is one smoking free room.
Besides Keukenhof, I believed there is no reason for people to go to Amsterdam other than to see for themselves the way of the Dutch, which is publicised as relax and easy-going.I guess that's why the try so hard to be relax. It's an image they have to upkeep.haha Ironic.

Verdict:

Amsterdam is quite an attraction but it's still not likely for me to go there again.Except maybe next year on the 20th of April onwards as that is when they held the largest flower parade.

Notes:
1. aah.tajuk tu poyo gila. But I actually used that and people I met at the hostel found it easier to remember my name.Honest...Fine.Up to you..lol
2. The story bout Hubert is in the next post.Sorry kimi.
3. The trip didn't exactly burn a hole in my pocket.Hoyeah!
