Hey du, wie war den Hamburg Trip?

If you are wondering what that means and doesn't like to babbelfish it, the phrase means , "Hey you, how was the Hamburg Trip?"

3 reasons we went to Hamburg:

1. Mauerfall-dauerspeziall - In remembrance of the Fall of Berlin Wall and in celebration of its 10th year since the Fall, the Deutschebahn (similar though not equal to KTM in Malaysia) made a promotion. €20 for one way ticket to anywhere in Germany, even if you take ICE. ICE yo! ketapi laju tu.

So we bunch of students decided to snap and click it. It seems we were not the only one interested as the Deutschebahn website was down during the first 6 hours of its total 9 hours promotion. The tickets are valid up to 1 month after the promotion, but the promotion last only for 9 hours.

2. So the cheap tickets are available. Where to then?
We decided Hamburg since one of friend is studying there, Linguistic. And we thought she could be our tour guide. Boy, were we right. She toured and guided us all over the town. Balik² tu rasa cm nk patah kaki. Dem Thank you Ijat the bubu.

3. There were lots of us. Strictly speaking that is not a valid reason. However as the organizers, Tahir and matdi had invited quite a number, it interested the others as well.
"Berapa org g?"
"10 orang."
"Ramainya, nak g la camtu"
"Berapa org g?"
"12 orang."
"Nak ikut jugak la camtu"
And so on. In the end it snowballed into 20 peoples.

Haha. 20 Malaysians following another noisy and boisterous one, all over Hamburg like hen with her chicks. We had a few stares from the locals but since Hamburg is a tourist city, it wasn't so bad like, say.. Landshut?
Lol.
All in all we had fun. 20 of weird similar minded people is always fun.Asma also seems to think so too. With that number, you never run out of ideas. though I can't say the same about time. Oh well, less time means more value.
Oh! And I received a most pleasant surprise on the 28th, just before midnight. >.<
