For some who might not know,Prague is the capital of Republic Czech. Its basically on the east side of Germany. If you don't know where Germany is,click here.
Anyway, the trip started with 8 people but slowly dwindled as some had to attend to other things until at the end of 1 week trip, there were only two left.
"jadi cmna,Prague best x?orang kata best"
That is the question often asked.
I can safely remove the 'orang kata' part and say that the trip was fun.
And there were other things that 'orang kata' that I manage to see for myself.
Orang kata 1
Czech ni lawa.
I would say that Prague is similar to Salzburg(again, click here for information). They share the same characteristic, such as river flowing through the city, bridges and a famous bridge, a/a few cathedral/church, and a castle residing on a hill.If you went up the hill, you will see a view of the whole city. These similarities are what make these city beautiful,so they say.
My say?
"tak la lawa sgt".
In my honest opinion the traits that I have described doesn't appeal to me much.Of course some would claim the scenery is breath-taking and pictures taken of Prague are marvelous. My opinion is you can snap a picture of my backyard and make it look breath-taking if you try.The thing is,it may be easier to take a beautiful picture in Prague.(now I am contradicting myself)
Anyway the keyword is 'sangat'.lawa la jgk.
It appealed to many people and to these people I respect what they like.
Orang kata 2
Orang czech ni lawa-lawa
Okay, the 1st few days,I noticed that this is not true. It's not like you bumped into Misses Universe around every corner. On the contrary most of them have blue eyes, fair skin, just like other European.
But wait.
On the fifth day we went to an ice hockey game and there I amended my opinion. There were lots of people at the game and if you look into the crowd of spectators, surely there is someone who would invite you to a second glimpse...iya,orang czech lawa-lawa!
And I don't mean the Pom-pom girl that Azhan were taking picture of.It's among the crowd that would caught your eye.
Siyes wa cakap lu,cun beb.
Orang kata 3
Czech sejuk
Yeah, damn cold(to us that study in Germany that is,Nrw to be exact).Surely those in Russia are worse but Czech is cold enough for my taste,I think. The parking lot in front of my friend's hostel was covered in snow, deep enough for you to plunge your feet up to your ankle, and it was all white until the horizon.I even saw a man skiing on the snow.Yeah the land was flat but he was skiing never the less.
Owh, and the students use their balcony as fridge.
See the picture for yourselves.Cooked foods are covered with aluminium foil and then kept outside.See --->
Orang kata 4
Czech x reti ckp Inggeris.
Most of them can and I assume they learned because Prague is mainly tourism.
Naturally in other area in Czech, outside of the capital(Prague),English is less used
Orang kata 5
Bahasa Czech ni kasar?
I am still not sure.Of course if you shout in Czech language,it would sound harsh(just like any other language for that matter). However during the trip we learned a few terms in this languages from the announcement at the tube stations and they sounded pleasant enough.
Pristin stanicé-which means next stop
Vystup-exit
Prystup-transit
x kasar sgt,dak?
haha.Like you can judge a language through a few words.
Oddly enough, people do judge German language, after they learn a few terms such as the 143 phrase.
"Ich liebe dich?uish,kasarnya bhs german"
"tergeliat lidah2 nk ckp"
"hbis sembur kt muka nk ckp dlm german"
I don't know what their opinion about Czech language but to me it does seems a bit more subtle and not so harsh.
Anyway the trip was Fun!with a big F.
Thanks for the 7 people who went with the trip.Sorry that Azhan(we?) left the drawing at Augsburg!
I also would like to thank our hosts,Faarhana and Filipa(is your name spelled right?),and Aizat for their hospitality, also regards to Tuesday.
Danke and diki!
